What To Expect From the 2024 Chevy Lineup
Chevrolet aims to deliver vehicles for all tastes and budgets in 2024, with cars, trucks, SUVs, crossovers, and electric vehicles (EVs) all part of its new lineup. Its “commitment to the electric future” is evident, with the maker introducing several electrified versions of some of its most popular models. However, it hasn’t forgotten about the petrol-driven vehicles that helped build its reputation as one of the world’s best auto manufacturers. No matter whether you want a classic fuel vehicle or one of the latest EVs, take a closer look at everything this iconic American automaker has in store in 2024.
New EVs
Proving its commitment to sustainability, Chevrolet delivers its first all-electric Equinox, Blazer, and Silverado vehicles. Chevrolet claims the Equinox EV is the most affordable EV in the compact SUV class, so it’s an excellent option for anyone who felt they were priced out of this growing segment. As a midsize SUV, the Blazer is a great choice for anyone who feels they need a bit more space, power, and luxury. For extra power up front and towing capabilities without compromising on sustainability, consider the Silverado EV, a full-size truck.
Chevrolet also celebrates the Corvette’s 70th birthday with its first e-all-wheel-drive Corvette E-Ray, a vehicle that’s as green as it is gorgeous. It’s certainly stylish, but its appeal goes much deeper than looks. The combination of an advanced electrified propulsion system and a 6.2-liter LT2 Small Block V-8 engine help the Corvette E-Ray reach 60 miles per hour from standing in just 2.5 seconds. That should answer any critics that think choosing an EV means compromising on performance. Expect everyone at the Corvette Club of South Florida to want one of these beauties.
All these vehicles are compatible with the myChevrolet mobile app, which lets you control certain vehicle features, check your battery status, find nearby compatible public charging stations, and more. In addition to all the features you’d expect from Chevrolet’s most iconic names, these vehicles utilize the Ultium platform, a new body architecture that supports front-wheel, all-wheel, and rear-wheel drive and flexible range. Vehicles built on this platform, developed by General Motors, have a low center of gravity and optimal weight distribution for a more responsive driving experience. They’re also incredibly quiet, even when they’re zooming down U.S. Route 90.
The Malibu Gets Safer and More Stylish
The Malibu is the only sedan in Chevrolet’s 2024 collection. The latest model is a little safer than its predecessors, with rear park assist standard across the non-fleet vehicles. This technology complements existing standard safety features, including Teen Driver and Buckle to Drive modes and the Chevy Safety Assist suite. The new Lakeshore Blue Metallic color is also perfect for driving around Leon Brooks Hines Lake or Blue Pond Recreation Area. The Malibu is available with the LS, RS, 1LT, and 2LT trims. You can choose between the Midnight, Sport, and Redline editions on the high-end 1LT and 2LT trims.

New Styling and Tech for the Chevrolet 2500 HD/3500 HD
If you love Chevy trucks, the midcycle changes to the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD and 3500 HD are the most significant. Chevy’s biggest trucks get sleek new looks with more minimalist front ends, new wheel designs, and fresh taillight reflectors. Their adaptive cruise control works even when towing, and a generous 13.4-inch central touch screen and 12.3-inch gauge-cluster screen are also new on most trims. Off-road enthusiasts will appreciate the new ZR2 and ZR2 Bison trims for the Silverado 2500 HD. With features including upgraded suspension, skid plates, and 35-inch all-terrain tires, they’re made for fun off the beaten track.
Recent upgrades to the Chevrolet Colorado and Silverado 1500 mean these trucks see only minor updates. Like the Silverado 2500 HD, you can now get a ZR2 Bison model Colorado. A ZR2 model is also available if you choose the Silverado 1500’s Duramax 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-six engine. The ZR2 is a little lighter than its beefier counterpart, with 1.5-inch less ground clearance; however, it’s still capable of performing on Southern Florida trails, such as Tate’s Hell and Blackwater River. The ZR2 model isn’t new for the Silverado 1500, but it was previously only available with the 6.2-liter V-8 engine.

Style, Size, and Tech Changes to Chevrolet’s SUVs and Crossovers
Versatile SUVs and crossovers are popular in Florida, as they can take on all kinds of conditions. While the Equinox and Blazer get only minor changes, the Trax will be much roomier and more tech forward in 2024. Families will appreciate that the 2024 SUV is 11 inches longer and 2 inches wider than the current Trax. That translates to almost 12% more cargo space and 3 extra inches of legroom for rear passengers. The infotainment screens are larger at all trim levels, and phone charging, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto are now wireless for less mess in your vehicle.
The new front fascia, lights, grilles, and wheels across all trim levels give the latest Trailblazer vehicles modern new looks for 2024. For a dramatic makeover, consider choosing your Trailblazer in Copper Harbor Metallic or Cacti Green, which are both new colors for the 2024 models. The 2024 Trailblazer’s sizable new 11-inch diagonal center display and 8-inch driver information center enhance the interior. The 2024 Trailblazer is available with LS, LT, ACTIV, and RS trims. Front-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive is an option to better handle slick Florida roads.
