Meet The 2024 Chevrolet EV Lineup
It’s becoming increasingly obvious that electric vehicles (EVs) are here to stay. The automotive world is slowly shifting from internal combustion engines to electric motors, and forward-thinking automakers are pushing the industry forward. Chevrolet is one of these innovative car companies, and its EV lineup includes vehicles for every type of driver. From compact city vehicles to rugged pickup trucks, you’ll definitely find what you need in Chevy’s EV selection.
Here at Allen Turner Chevrolet in Crestview, Florida, we’re inspired by Chevy’s progressive approach and high standards. If you’re looking for a vehicle that won’t let you down and a dealership that can assist you with all your automotive-related needs, purchase a Chevy from Allen Turner Chevrolet. These are the vehicles in Chevy’s EV lineup:
Chevrolet Equinox EV
The Chevrolet Equinox EV will be available in spring 2024 and promises to take the crossover market by storm. The standard version will be equipped with a single motor that can generate 210 horsepower and 242 lb-ft of torque. While this is probably enough for most drivers, those who want more can choose the optional dual-motor version with 290 horsepower and 346 lb-ft of torque. Due to the innovative Ultium battery architecture, the 2024 Equinox EV will have an impressive 319-mile range in its single-motor configuration. It will also be compatible with DC fast-charging stations.
Although fitting it with a powerful motor that’s easy to charge was a top priority, Chevy hasn’t forgotten that crossover SUVs need a smart design and comfortable interior. While even the basic version looks good both inside and out, higher trims will also add upgraded materials and more available colors. The cabin tech is also top-notch. Some of its features include a massive 17.7-inch touch screen and plenty of useful driver aids, such as forward collision alert and adaptive cruise control, plus GM’s hands-free driving Super Cruise system.
Chevrolet Blazer EV
This midsize SUV is an ideal choice for road trip enthusiasts, mainly due to its impressive range and smooth ride. Even the basic 2LT trim has an impressive 288 horsepower and a 279-mile range. It also charges quickly, with DC fast chargers adding up to 80 miles of range in just 10 minutes. Its cabin isn’t only smartly designed and spacious but also well insulated, making it extremely quiet even at highway speeds. It also features the same 17.7 touch-screen interface as the Equinox EV.
Standard driving aids include lane-keeping assistance and forward collision warning with automatic braking, with the optional Convenience and Driver Confidence Package adding many more. Despite being a comfortable and family-friendly SUV, the Blazer EV’s top trim is expected to be released in early 2024 and will have no less than 557 horsepower.
Chevrolet Silverado EV
Despite not being built on the same platform as the classic Silverado 1500, the Silverado EV is a useful and feature-rich pickup truck in its own right. Its standard version comes with a powerful dual motor that produces 510 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque. It also won’t run out of power when you need it most, thanks to its 24-module battery pack, which has an impressive 450-mile range. If this output isn’t enough, the yet unreleased top version will produce no less than 754 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque.
Another major performance metric for a pickup truck is its towing capacity. The Silverado EV’s standard version can tow up to 10,000 pounds, with a future version doubling that capacity to 20,000 pounds. Its payload capacity is 1,400 pounds. However, modern pickups need to offer more than sheer power and towing ability. The 2024 Silverado EV is also very comfortable and features modern tech, including an 11-inch touch screen, smartphone connectivity options, and plenty of standard driver aids.
Chevrolet Bolt EV
The Bolt has been around since 2017 and is an EV pioneer. It hasn’t changed much since, but if you’re looking for an affordable small vehicle that you can use to make your way through city traffic, it may be your ideal choice. However, this doesn’t mean it’s limited to city traffic, as its 259-mile range makes it a good pick for weekend road trips. It’s also surprisingly powerful, as its electric motor can produce up to 200 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque.
Besides being economical and powerful, the Chevrolet Bolt also has an attractive exterior and interior. The cabin is well designed and comfortable, and there are plenty of colors you can choose for its exterior paint. Some of the most popular choices include Bright Blue Metallic, Radiant Red Tintcoat, and Submit White.
Chevrolet Bolt Electric Utility Vehicle (EUV)
The Bolt’s larger EUV version maintains all the qualities that make the original Bolt a best-seller, such as affordability and driving range, while adding more space. This small crossover SUV is more suitable as a family car but keeps its smaller brother’s ability to make its way through crowded traffic. It has the same 200-horsepower electric motor as the original Bolt and can travel a little further on a single charge despite its larger size.
Since it’s more likely to be used as a family vehicle, it comes with the Chevy Safety Assist driver-aid package as standard. This includes forward-collision mitigation, lane departure warning, and automatic high beams. Also standard is its 10.2-inch touch-screen interface and smartphone connectivity through Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. Its 16.3 cubic feet of cargo space should be enough for most occasions, but you can fold the rear seats and make way for much more.
