Because 2024 is the last year of the Camaro as we know it, Chevy is offering all seven trims with a Collector’s Edition appearance package that harkens back to the muscle car’s classic look. For 2024, Chevy does away with the previous year’s base model, the 1LS, and kicks things off with the more powerful 1LT. The other trims — the 2LT, 3LT, LT1, 1SS, 2SS, and ZL1 — gain more convenience, technology, and performance features the higher you go, with the top-of-the-line ZL1 boasting track-ready performance and a jaw-dropping design.
The base engine on the 2024 Chevrolet Camaro is a robust 3.6-liter V-6 that produces 335 horsepower and 284 lb-ft of torque. With this powertrain, the vehicle can surge from zero to 60 mph in just 5.2 seconds. The LT1 and higher trim levels gain Brembo brakes, a performance-tuned suspension, and a 6.2-liter V-8 engine that generates 455 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque. It can reach 60 mph from a standstill in 4.1 seconds.
The ZL1, however, really turns on the afterburners. Its supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 gets an incredible 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in a heart-pounding 3.5 seconds. All 2024 Camaro models come standard with rear-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission, though a 10-speed automatic is optional. As expected, the V-6 engine paired with the automatic transmission produces the best fuel figures at 18/29 mpg city/highway, respectively.
To truly maximize the Camaro’s ride and handling, Chevy offers a 1LE Track Performance package on the SS trims and a 1LE Extreme Track Performance package on the ZL1. The latter adds wider tires, a more aerodynamic body, superior suspension, and a carbon-fiber rear spoiler.
Chevy equips all 2024 Camaro trims with basic safety essentials such as air bags, a rear vision camera, StabiliTrak for enhanced stability and traction control, Teen Driver technology, and a lower anchors and tethers for children car seat system. Once you step up to the 3LT model, you get advanced technologies such as forward collision warning to prevent you from colliding with the vehicle ahead, blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert if a car is in your blind spot, rear parking sensors for maneuvering in reverse, and a head-up display within your line of sight on the windshield.
Chevy also backs the Camaro’s dependability with competitive warranties and maintenance, including:
The 2024 Camaro is available as either a coupe or a convertible. Its aggressive exterior design combines classic muscle car looks with sleek, aerodynamic body lines. Standard exterior features include light-emitting diode (LED) running lights, power mirrors, and 18-inch silver aluminum wheels. Available features as you move up the trims include 20-inch wheels, a rear spoiler, and a sunroof. Chevy also offers a wide range of exterior design packages that allow you to customize your Camaro to fit your style and preferences. These include:
Collector Edition on all models: Panther Black Metallic exterior paint color, collector fender badge, black center stripe, and 20-inch five-spoke aluminum wheels.
The 2024 Camaro’s cabin is modern and uses upscale materials, with enough seating for four. Standard features include cloth upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat. You can add amenities such as leather seating, heated and ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, a power-adjustable passenger seat, and RECARO sport seats. Overall, Chevy places more emphasis on the Camaro’s thrilling ride than its rear passenger space or cargo room.
Chevy equips every Camaro with its Infotainment 3 system, 7-inch touch screen, Wi-Fi hotspot, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 3LT trim gains a larger 8-inch touch screen, a wireless charging pad, a driver information display, and a nine-speaker Bose sound system. Add Chevy’s Technology Package to the 1LT, 2LT, or LT1 trims for upgrades such as the premium audio system and larger touch screen.
With its distinctive appearance and convertible option, the Camaro has a loyal following in the Florida and southern Alabama regions. Camaro drivers come together regularly through the area’s handful of Camaro car clubs to attend events and bond over a shared love of this classic muscle car. The Camaro is also the perfect vehicle for cruising northern Florida’s iconic scenic routes, such as the Old Florida Heritage Highway and the A1A Ocean Islands Trail. Set aside a day to cruise these roads and truly put the Camaro to the test.
