Trim Levels

The new Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD is available with a regular, extended, or crew cab in five trims: WT (Work Truck), LT, Custom, LTZ, and High Country. You can get most trims in short or long bed styles. There’s a Silverado 2500 to fit your needs and budget with a starting manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $40,500.


The WT is available as a regular cab with a long bed, a double cab with a short or long bed, and a crew cab with a short or long bed, with an MSRP range of $44,795 to $46,795.


You can get the LT in the same cab/bed configurations as the WT, adding the EZ Lift low-effort tailgate and 8-inch touch screen for MSRPs ranging from $46,595 to $50,595.


You can get the Custom in either a double cab or crew cab with a long bed or a short bed, adding 20-inch wheels, trailering mirrors, and deep-tinted glass. The MSRP range for the Custom is $46,595 to $48,595.


On the LTZ trim, you get 18-inch wheels, LED fog lights, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat in the same four configurations as the Custom for $56,195 to $58,195.

High Country

The High Country is only available as a crew cab with either a long or short bed and has four-wheel drive standard. The short bed has an MSRP of $70,395, and the long bed starts at $70,595.

Exterior Design

The 2023 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD features a rugged design with an athletic appearance. On the WT, you get cab-mounted cargo lights, black bumpers, and 17-inch painted wheels. Moving up to the LT adds deep-tinted glass, chrome bumpers, and 17-inch machined aluminum wheels. The Custom adds body-color bumpers, halogen reflector headlights, and 20-inch machined aluminum wheels with Grazen Metallic painted accents.

For the LTZ, you get LED reflector headlights and taillights, the EZ Lift Assist tailgate, and 18-inch six-spoke machined wheels with painted accents. The High Country upgrades you with cargo bed LED lighting, 6-inch chrome assist steps, a power tailgate, and 20-inch 16-spoke polished aluminum wheels.

Interior Features

When you open the door to the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, you’ll discover an interior created for form and function. The WT features rubberized vinyl flooring, a 12-volt power outlet, four-way manual front seats, manual door locks and windows, and single-zone climate control. The LT adds under-seat storage, carpeted flooring, power door locks and windows, steering-wheel-mounted controls, and keyless entry. On the Custom, you get a 60/40-split folding rear seat for more cargo and passenger options, power windows with rear express-down, and rear air vents.

With two engine options, the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD has the power and performance you need to get the job done, whether hauling work equipment or the camper. The standard engine is a 6.6-liter V-8 with a six-speed automatic transmission delivering 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque. You can also go with a 6.6-liter Duramax turbo-diesel V-8 featuring a 10-speed Allison automatic transmission. The diesel engine delivers 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque. The Allison transmission is also available on other trims to improve hauling capabilities.

Rear-wheel drive is standard on all trims except the High Country, with its standard four-wheel-drive system. The FWD is also available on all other trims for better performance over various conditions and surfaces. You can tow up to 18,510 pounds with the Silverado 2500 HD and haul that using a bumper pull, gooseneck, or fifth wheel.


Technology can be found throughout the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, from the various driver-assistance features to the touch-screen infotainment system. The WT offers a base level of technology as the work-focused model with a two-speaker stereo, Bluetooth, and a 7-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
